Use the GOOD coaching and communications model as you develop your leaders, help family members, and work through your own challenges.

 
 

What is it that you are trying to accomplish or want to achieve? Knowing this helps you to focus and gives you clear direction.

G stands for goals

 

As an executive coach, I will literally try to ask you all options that you can think of.

As your coach, I might have my own ideas. However, your ideas will always take priority over mine.

O stands for options



 

What might create stumbling blocks that slow down your progress or inhibit your ability to achieve your goals?

O stands for obstacles

 

Now that we’ve discused options and obstacles, it’s time to ask for your commitments. “What you going to do?”; “What are the steps that you’re going to take?”; “By what timeframe?” And “do you need help from someone else in order to do those things?”

D stands for “do” or what are you going to do

 

There will be follow-up sessions as you think these things through. For you as a leader, and for me, as a coach, our role is to act as a thought partner and as a catalyst for you to come up with new ideas that will help you tp solve a challenge or problem, or achieve a goal.
